We encourage you to visit several clubs before joining. Talk to the leaders, members, and parents to help make sure it's the right "fit" for you.
YQCA face-to-face training: Tuesday, June 11, at 6:30 p.m, at the fair building. Be sure to register online prior to training. Cost $3.00
Livestock Members meeting: Tuesday, June 11, at 7:30 pm, for Fair preparations and paperwork assistance along with question and answer session.
Sheep & Goat Workshop: Tuesday, June 2nd at 6:30 pm at the Fairgrounds, Livestock Arena.
Royalty Contest: June 19th at Perry-Lecompton High School, the contest begins at 7:00 pm.
Jefferson County 4-H Foundation Golf Tournament: Saturday, June 29th at Village Greens Golf Course. For additional information, contact Marlene Seifert at 785-224-4851.
Pre-Fair Photography Mounting Workshop: July 22, at the Fair Building 6:30-&:30 pm. The cost is $5.50/pack of five boards and plastic sleeves. Please bring the correct change.
Pre-Fair Judging Schedule
Monday, July 8th--Northeast Kansas Pre-Fair Judging for Entomology, Forestry, Geology, and Wildlife. Held at the Horton Blue Building, 716 1st Ave, Horton, KS, 5:00 pm-- 9:00 pm. PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
Friday, July 19th--Home Environment Judging--Schedule will be sent to each member in the project.
Saturday, July 20th--Dog Obedience/Rally-O-Show at Fairgrounds. Check-in Time-9:30 am. The show starts at 10:00 am
Sunday, July 21st--4-H Horse Show--Check-in 8:00 am, cutoff time 10:00 am. The show starts at 9:00 am.
Tuesday, July 23rd--Delaware Township Hall, Valley Falls-- Fashion Revue Consultation Judging 9:00-Noon. 4-H member must be checked-in by 10:00 am.
Clothing Consultation Judging 12:45 pm--4:00 pm. 4-H Member must be checked-in by 1:30 p.m.
Tuesday, July 23rd--Fair Building, Valley Falls, Enter through the West doors of the fair building.
Photography Judging 1:00 pm

Jefferson County 4-H Foundation
The Foundation seeks to encourage 4-Hers to attend area, state, and national events, by providing financial assistance. Funds are raised through generous donations and fund-raising efforts. Donations and memorial funds also support higher education through scholarship awards.
